Person, dog escape morning fire
ELGIN, SC (WIS)- The Columbia Fire Department is investigating a house fire
in Northeast Richland County.
Department spokesperson Brick Lewis says around 8:45 a.m. crews were dispatched to a home on Delchester Drive near Bookman Road.
Arriving units reported smoke and fire visible from the rear of the home.
Lewis says one person and a dog were in the home at the
time of the fire. Both were able to get out and were uninjured.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
